Things are all set for the race in Garrison, MN. It is going to be a Saturday/Sunday race with each day being it’s own race day with awards to follow after each race at the Y-Club.

We are having two tracks, a North track and a South track. Saturdays race is going to be on the South track so please stay off the North one as it will be used for Sundays race.

A $10 per racer, per race day will be charged for the ice shaving.

What a crazy weekend of racing! All I can say is WOW, what a great group of people in KPI!

With the rain on Friday making the track more like a lake, to the work that was done on Friday night into Saturday morning/late afternoon and with the help of the weather we were able to put on a race that most would of gave up on!! Again, thanks to those that put in all the effort and made the best out of a bad situation.

The word just came in that the track is looking great for tomorrow. We spent the majority of the late morning/early afternoon removing a lot of soft top ice and things are freezing up nicely.

Although the ice is freezing nicely, parking will need to be spaced out across the track so please keep adequate space between each other.

Start times and race order/laps may be adjusted to accommodate the race day conditions.

The race today is postponed till Sunday. A decision will be made by 8PM if we’re a go for Sunday.

We were able to reduce the amount of water on the track tonight and are optimistic that we can accomplish more in the AM.

We plan to be at the track at 6AM to start removing whatever water remains.

For those that can please bring the following:

• Sump pumps
• Augers
• Garden Hoses
• Generators
• Extension cords

It is wet and slippery so please remember dry clothes for the kids and your ice cleats!

As of now, Friday 4:08 the race is PENDING for Rush City due to 2+” of water standing on the ice.

A few guys are at the lake and some are headed up there now to assess the situation. If you are available to go to the lake and help out (Plan Pending), please call Kent @715-225-0604.

A decision will be made later this afternoon/evening.

We are all set for racing Saturday! The track was plowed and SHAVED today so we are expecting some great racing!!

We CAN park on the lake, be sure to go to the right of the access and park nose into shore with the tailgates facing the track.

DZ photography will be at the race taking pictures. We will do the group picture right after the drivers meeting and then head shots to follow as racers have time during the day.

There will be a $10 PER RACER fee for the shaved track this weekend.

What a fun fill 2 days of racing! The weather mid week allowed us to park on the ice which proved to be super beneficial Sunday with the wind making it a pretty cold race day.

Saturday marks the start of the Northern Nationals Championships in Siren, WI on Crooked Lake! Racing starts @ 10:00 AM

Saturday is qualifying with Sunday being LCQ’s and Finals. Awards ceremony will be at Terosa’s Restaurant in Siren, WI on Sunday.

As of now we WILL NOT be parking on the ice so please plan accordingly. Some members of the group do have four wheelers that can help assist in getting sleds to the lake, the local ATV club will be present as well to help out throughout the day. The temperatures are in our favor to make more ice as Saturday nears and a decision will be made Saturday AM on if/how many we will allow to park on the ice.

Please DO NOT park on the ice until the decision is made. If we can not park on the ice we will need to be patient when parking as it is a tight area and will require certain sized rigs to be in certain areas.

Things are looking good for this weekends Northern Nationals race in Siren, WI! Saturday is qualifying (top 4) and Sunday is LCQ’s (#5 & #6 qualifier) along with Finals and Consolation Finals.

Awards ceremony will be Sunday after teching is done for the weekend.
