We checked ice today and we have 7 1/2″ of great smooth ice. Things are looking good for the race next Saturday. We will not be driving on the ice. We will be parking on the access lot on highway 8. We will be checking ice again next week and will get a report. Confident we should be able to make the 8″ of ice we need by then with no snow cover. We will keep checking the conditions and keep everyone updated.

All below is a letter from WKCR. They have invited us to come race with them for this race if you wish. A couple notes:
You need to register by wednesday night, you can do this at WKCR.NET.
You can register under member rates!! (thank you WKCR!)
Please check all 0f WKCR rules before showing up if you do plan to race. I do know neck rolls are required for all modified classes, and there may be others so please read all rules.
Below is the letter from WKCR:
Hello Racers!!
Family Registration Reminders
As a reminder we do need all registrations in as soon as possible for many reasons if you are planning to race this year. One of the biggest concerns is for accounting for trophies and plaques. We will be doing plaques in all mod classes this year, and if you have not pre registered for that class they will not be available for your participant at the first race. Please contact us if you have registered and will be adding a class, and if you have not registered please do so asap. You can call me Jon 612-242-5046 directly with any questions.
Its making Ice!!!! Hoping the first week we will be good to go!!! Ice report today from Turtle Lake is 2.5″ but a 4″ blanket of snow on top.
